In the summer, Kvilda is an ideal launching pad for hiking and cycling. In winter, it offers many maintained cross-country trails and two ski slope and ski lifts for beginners and childern. For more advanced skiers, the ski resort Zadov (15 kms), Mitterdorf (Germany - 40 kms) or Hochficht (Austria - 80 kms) are available. The municipality has recently opened a fenced enclosure for deer in the vicinity Kvilda.
